A Thought

One day as I awoke,
And looked back at Life,
What had I gained and what lost,
Spare a thought said my mind.

Spare a thought for the time spent,
Of shattered dreams and broken hopes
Of friends forgotten and friendships lost
Spare a thought said my mind.

Spare a thought for tears unshed,
And a thought for words left unsaid,
Spare a thought for the good times,
Spare a thought for the nursery rhymes;
Spare a thought said my mind,
For childish dreams and sweet nothings

Spare a thought for the life you have lived
And live it like you thought you did.
Spare a thought said my mind.
